Tenderloin @ Parts Unknown USA, 1997-xx-xx

I was transferring a load of cassettes that I had received in trade at the end of the 90s and early aughts.  Lots of Supersuckers shows with some Reverend Horton Heat & New Bomb Turks too.  In the process of going through all of those recordings I discovered this 3 song snippet of fantastic Kansas band Tenderloin.

It wasn't listed on the cassette J card and it was so long ago I can't remember who the trade was with.  From the songs they play I'm guessing the performance is from 1997. They are all songs off the self titled album that came out on Time Bomb.  No clue were the show happened.

I am a huge Tenderloin fan and was lucky enough to see them once.  They opened up for Soundgarden in 1996 along with Rocket From The Crypt here in Denver.  Most of the crowd just didn't get it.  I loved every second of it.

I was listening to my digital music collection on random this week and some Tenderloin pop up and I ended up listening to their entire catalog.  I recalled this brief recording and after listening to it again I decided to share it.  Great rock and roll.  Worth seeking out. This is short and sweet and sounds pretty good I think.  Enjoy.

Helmet @ Ogden Theatre, Denver CO, 1994-11-28

My friend Jim Hucks captured a ton of amazing video footage over the years.  If your a Helmet fan you might have seen this on YT or clips of it on his channel.  You can see it here.  Jim's video
He sent me the audio from his video to me so I could share it with y'all.

It's a lovely board feed with a rabid crowd right up front so you hear folks yelling for songs here or there.  I've really enjoyed listening to this while preparing it for upload. This was the tour for Betty so it's stacked with songs from that including some deep cuts like Pariah.  They also played a cover of Killing Joke's song "Primitive" ending with FBLA II into Unsung.  Amazing show.  Wish I had been there but again big thanks to Jim for this capture.
