Black Curse @ Hi Dive - Denver CO - 2025-09-22

Today I present the most excellent Black Curse at the Hi Dive on 2025-09-22 opening up for Beherit.  What a hell of a show.  Black Curse were fresh from having toured Europe and sounding ferocious. Short but sweet set.  Enjoy.

Scott H. Biram @ HQ, Denver CO, 2025-10-16

I've seen Scott H. Biram a bunch of times in the last 22 years.  This show was an outlier in that it wasn't a full house.  Not even close.  At the show it didn't seem like he minded but listening back he keeps talking about the good old days of selling out Three Kings Tavern.  Song choice's seem a bit melancholy.   Or maybe it was the tequila he was enjoying.  If he was down about it he still gave us a hell of a 90 minutes.  Thanks Scott.

Lots of old blues covers in the set which par for the course.  I've seen him go really heavy with some deep cuts before.  One time he covered Budgies "Crash Course In Brain Surgery".  He went deep on this night covering Austin TX cult band Crust's song "Sacred Heart".  Crust was on King Coffey's Austin label Trance Syndicate.  It crawls into some Butthole Surfers territory in the best way.  Then right after that he played his old song "No Way" which I have been requesting on this night.  Stellar show.  Enjoy.

The Spittin' Cobras @ Three Kings Tavern, Denver CO, 2012-11-01

Here is a set for a kick ass Seattle Washington. rock n roll band The Spittin' Cobras.  At Three Kings Tavern as part of a 4 band RnR bill.  The Spittin' Cobras was helmed by Jules Hodgson who plays with PIG and KMFDM going back to the early aughts Alex Karchevsky on vocals, and Jake Hagan on bass.  They only put out one album but came through Denver a few times.    At some point they changed their name to Detönatör.  Basically the same sound members.  They just put a out a new EP on bandcamp.
Fun Rock N Roll band.  Check em out.

Pretty good sound and a setlist with 2 new at the time songs that I don't think ever were recorded or turned into Detönatör songs.  Enjoy.

Sebadoh @ Ogden Theatre, Denver CO, 1995-03-04

Here is another of the MarcR DATs from 1995.  This time it's Sebadoh at the Ogden Theatre back on March 4th 1995.  I guess this was still the tour for Bakesale since Harmacy didn't come out until 1996. They do play a few songs from Harmacy though.

Denver what did you do to Lou Barlow previous to 1995?  Before he leaves the stage Lou says "Thanks this total has made up for everything I thought about Denver".  Sounds is pretty good.  Fun setlist.  Enjoy.

Agriculture @ Hi Dive, Denver CO, 2025-11-11

I first caught Los Angeles band Agriculture at the Bluebird Theatre in Denver opening for Chat Pile back in 2023. That was a great pairing and I picked up their self titled album that night.  When the announced this Hi Dive show I immediately bought a ticket.  I've been enjoying their newest album "The Spiritual Sound" a lot this year so I was excited to hear those songs live.

They call themselves ecstatic black metal.  They get called black metal, black gaze, post black metal.  Who cares  really it is just really good.  Live they delivery the goods as well so don't miss them if you get a chance.

This set is full of mostly songs from the new album.  Sounds really nice I think.  Enjoy.

Enemymine @ Bluebird Theatre, Denver CO, 1999-07-07

Today on TTTAT,   Enemymine live at the Bluebird Theatre in Denver Colorado back on July 7th 1999.  They were opening up for the Melvins on this night.  Enemymine is Mike Kunka's band he started after godheadSilo stopped in 1998.  Enemymine also featured Zac Sally from Low on bass and Danny Sasaki on drums.  It's very much in the vein of godheadSilo.  Loud to quite, noise elements, abrasive.  Perfect band to pair with the Melvins.

Back in 1999 Kunka recorded an album with the Melvins and then disappeared kind of with the album only getting finished up and released in 2016.  Worth looking into if you are a fan.

This one is pretty short and I can't recall if it is the complete show or not.  It is what it is.  Enjoy.
