Anyway I recall being psyched to hear some of the older lineup SCAC songs during this show.
Especially Lethal Injection. I hope you enjoy it. Link to MP3s at the bottom.

I am so happy you posted this, the band was based out of Providence RI, where slim was living at the time. There was no drummer, just a drum machine...which was pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteRich was also the man guitarist for Frank Black & the Catholics...Rich's wife judith Ann was in the Auto Club for a very short time toward the end of BVS when Slim was moving again.
I think I had seen nearly every BVS show in the RI area at the time...and loved every one!!!
Cant wait to listen to this!
Thanks so much, you really made my Day!
Track #4 is called "Slater Mill". I live in New London, CT and saw them many times here in town and also in Providence. They used an Alesis HR16 drum machine, never a live drummer. Their Christmas show (right after "The Cold Hard Truth About Christmas" came out) was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeahh! Thank you! A long ago will searched this wonderful album, but there where I live it is not on sale... Thank to this band - and all good people!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
ReplyDeleteI saw many of their shows around Boston and surrounding areas.. For my birthday, Slim autographed my cd. I still have it, over a decade later. My favorite part about the drum machine is when it didnt work and Slim had to kick it to "fix" it... which was just about every show. Brilliant!
