"Hey Do that one were you clap really loud and buy us whiskey. Oh we can't make requests?" - Jason Isbell
The Drive-by Truckers are coming to Denver this upcoming weekend to play a two night stand at the Ogden Theater. It got me to thinking about the 1st time that I saw them. It was at a much smaller venue. The (Worlds Famous) Lion's Lair. That place holds about 100 people give or take. Patterson Hood says during the show that this was the 1st time that they had every played in Colorado.
Their visit was on the tour cycle for Southern Rock Opera but we got treated to a bunch of new songs that ended up on Decoration day. It was one hell of a show. This got posted on torrents years ago and has made the rounds or DBT traders I'm sure. This is a fresh transfer from the original master and a new round of clean up and remastering. Enjoy
