Eddie Spaghetti & The Railbenders @ Herman's Hideaway, Denver CO, 2005-01-21

Back in the early aughts Eddie Spaghetti from the Supersuckers had gotten friendly with the Denver band The Railbenders after they opened up a show for them at Tulagis in Boulder.  After that Eddie guested on a song on a Railbenders album and then came out a few times for some combo shows where The Railbenders were his back up band.

This was the 1st of those shows at Herman's Hideaway.  Eddie came back again in 2006 and played a similar show at Benders Tavern.  I have recordings of both but I think this one is superior so I decided to post this one up.

I think it would be safe to say this was a extravaganza.  Just look at that 50+ song setlist.  First Eddie came out an played some songs solo. Then he was joined by the Railbenders along with some Denver heavyweights Marty Jones on harmonica and Glenn Taylor on pedal steel.  At the end of Eddie's set there was a short break and the Railbenders played a set of their own songs before bringing Eddie back out to close out the show.  Almost 3 hours and 20 minutes of entertainment.

Things get a little bit fast and loose towards the end but Eddie saves the day with a 3 songs drug meddle with Non-Addictive Marijuana, I Want The Drugs, and Must Have Been High.

Crowd is pretty rowdy but I had the mics mounted up pretty high on a pole in front of the stage so it's not to chatty and I think it sounds pretty nice.  Enjoy.
