Here is another recording from the Kat Georges master cassette archive. This time it is the Replacements live at the Roxy in Hollywood California on May 1st 1986. Other versions of this show have circulated before but this is the first time for this RQ-J36 capture has been shared.
The description of this show that I had read was that Paul was giving Bob and extra hard time the whole show. Maybe you had to be there to see it. There is a little bit of that on here but not much. Paul does yell the chord changes at Bob during 'Waitress In The Sky' but that is pretty far into the set and by then the whole thing is devolving in to the drunken slog of cover after cover song. Bob Stinson leaves the band or is fired in August of this year.
In this loud rowdy club show the Panasonic RQ-J36 was put to the test for sure. It handles it pretty well but there are some rough spots. Fun listenable experience for a fan for sure. Enjoy.
