Steve Earle @ Boulder Theater, Boulder CO, 2004-01-20

Steve Earle really stretched out and gave us a hell of a show on this night.  Over 2 hours long with a bunch of the "hits" and some stories to go along with the songs. Certainly some of the current events he talks about back in 2004 are a bit dated but most of the stuff he is concerned are still issues.

This was recorded from front row in the balcony at the Boulder Theater and I think it sounds pretty good.  I was far enough away from the roaring crowd that there is very little chatter and when the crowd applauds after songs it's not blowing it out.  Sitting right above the bar below there is some bottles clinking.

I might have burned a few CDRs of this but I have never shared it digitally.  Enjoy.

The Sadies @ Bluebird Theater, Denver CO, 2003-11-18

Was bummed to hear the news recently that Dallas Good of the Sadies passed away at the young age of 48.  Condolences to his friends and family.

I believe that this 2003 Bluebird show was the first time I was exposed to their music.  I've been a fan ever since.  I recalled that I hadn't shared my recording of that night before so I dug the MD master out of the archive and transferred off it so I could get it posted.

Lost to love about the Sadies and this show. Dallas thanks the crowd before and after every song.  He says the name of the song they are about to play almost every time.  I love that.  He also mentions a few times that if you would like to support the band go see their merch guy Baby Desturbo.  Not sure on the spelling on that but great merch guy name.

They dressed like cowboys and while some of this leans in the county direction it gets a little out there.  Hell they ever cover a Carole King song.   Great stuff.  Enjoy.

Swarm @ Starlight, Ft Collins CO, 2001-07-05

Swarm was one of the bands that was formed by members of Death Angel in the late 90s and aughts after Death Angel kind of fell apart.  In the years since Death Angel has reformed and released a bunch of new albums.

At this show they opened up for Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains fame.

I must have gotten there late since I only managed to capture the last 2 songs.
