I've seen the Pepper Keynan version of C.O.C. a bunch of time over the years.  Including on the Blind tour way back in 1990 opening up for Soundgarden and Danzig.  But I realized on this night that I had never seen them headline some how.

Fun show and a pretty big crowd for a Monday night.  Would have loved to have heard My Grain but pretty satisfying set list otherwise.  Really solid line up for this tour as well.  Mothership, Saviours, and Brandt Bjork and the Low Desert Punks.  So damn loud from the get go so this is what it is.  Enjoy

Agrimonia @ Three Kings Tavern, Denver CO, 2013-11-20

It was a treat to see this band from Gothenburg Sweden roll though Denver.  It's not often worth it for bands from Europe to come all the way over to the states to tour.  Especially lesser know bands playing melodic death metal to small crowds.  So when bands make the effort I always try to make it out to see them.

I went in having not heard note one of their music.  My buddy, who's opinion I trust, had raved about them for a month before this show happened.  He didn't steer me wrong.  Great stuff.

J.D. Wilkes and The Dirt Daubers @ The Lion's Lair, Denver CO 2014-02-02

J.D. Wilkes in his various incarnations over the years always puts on a heck of a show.  Whether it be in the Legendary Shack Shakers, or like at this show with the Dirt Daubers.  You always know it's gonna be a good time.

I had intended to go see Rocket From The Crypt on this night.  I was even in the RFTC venue.  But after hearing from my wife that she was at the Lion's Lair and her reminding me that J.D. Wilkes and The Dirt Daubers were playing there that night I made tracks for the Lair.

I've seen RFTC lots and lots of times so it wasn't too hard of a choice.  One of the great things about living in a city like Denver is there are often multiple amazing bands playing all across town.  It can also be a curse and decisions have to be made on who you have to miss to catch someone else.  Good problem to have I guess.  Beats the alternative.

Had kind of forgotten about this show but I was looking for something to post and this caught my eye.  I think it turned out pretty nice so I figured I would share it.

J.D. Wilkes and The Dirt Daubers are definitely a band you should check out live if you get a chance.

Go see live music and support the bands you love by buying stuff from them.  Do it!!

I love seeing super heavy bands at the Hi Dive.  I think they sound really good in that room.

Amazing Royal Crowns @ The Bluebird Theater, Denver CO 2001-06-27

These guys were always a ton a fun to see live.  Super high energy and total showmen.  This is the kind of rockabilly I like the most.  Revved up and borderline psychobilly.  Amazing Royal Crowns totally delivered.

They used to tour almost non stop so I got to see them a bunch of times.  This show here was their last time though Denver.  Not long after this they announced that they were hanging it up and ended up playing their last show back home in Providence Rhode Island in November of 2001.

I really missed seeing them come though town for a bunch of years.  Well in some good news on that front they have gotten back together and have played a few reunion shows.  So maybe I'll get another chance after all.

This is a pretty typical blazing set from Amazing Royal Crowns.  25 songs in about an hour.  Unfuckwithable!  They cover their entire catalog at this show and play some fun covers and rare songs.
